Here are a few brief videos covering the basics of several important functions in Blackboard Collaborate. These are meant to serve as a refresher for those that have previously attended training.
You will need to load content into your presentation. This will show you how to load things like images and presentation (PowerPoint, etc.) slides into Blackboard Collaborate.
**NOTE** Any transitions or special effects in the presentation will be lost upon loading them into Blackboard Collaborate
Enable Teleconferencing
Sometimes not everyone can connect to the audio and video due to network restrictions. In these cases, you can enable teleconferencing to allow people to connect via the phone.
**NOTE** An administrator will need to setup teleconferencing for the room before this will work.
Use the Whiteboard
The Whiteboard is the main content area and an important tool for successful sessions in Blackboard Collaborate. Learn to copy and paste items and manipulate the tools to make the most of your time in the platform
Share .PDFs
A lot of information is contained in .PDFs and the ability to share these files is important. Blackboard Collaborate does not allow you to upload .PDFs like you can PowerPoint slides or a JPEG. We show you three ways you can share your .PDFs : Application Sharing, File Sharing and uploading it as an image file.
Use Application Sharing
Have a program you want to show off or let others try out? Using Application Sharing, you demonstrate a program and even let other people use the software without any installation on their part.
Use Web Tour
When you want to show how to navigate a website or just take people to various corners of the internet, you can use the built in Web Tour to keep people with you while you show them around.
Share Video
Video can make your session more interesting and Blackboard Collaborate allows you to share video in several ways.
